My First Crowdfunding Project

WaybuPage1

I remember I was so nervous when I started setting up my first crowdfunding project. I researched for weeks on how to do this, but I was still very hesitant. I was a self taught crowdfunder. I did interview and speak with dozens of successful crowdfunders before hand, and I read every marketing and crowdfunding book I could get my hands on. But still, there wasn’t a lot of resources available. The Crowdfunding economy was (and still is) a very new and mysterious creature. I all knew was that people were getting rich off of it, and I didn’t want to miss out.

I was a broke college student, and a ran this crowdfunding project out of my dorm room. I put together my crowdfunding strategies and action plan (some of which is still used in my Crowdfund King trainings today!) and I went for it. Instead of being like all the other lazy college kids I knew, I wanted to be successful right away. I was never a patient person. I knew I had the potential to be a successful entrepreneur, and crowdfunding was my last chance.

Within just a few weeks I raised almost $25,000 dollars with my first ever crowdfunding project. I launched it on Indiegogo.com. My idea was simple: sunglasses + bamboo = bamboo sunglasses. I thought it was cool, and apparently so did hundreds of other people who supported it! I make crowdfunding look easy, but its not. It’s only easy if you know what you’re doing and you follow my proven strategies.

Imagine going from broke to $25,000 in the bank AND having a profitable business within just 30 days!! That’s what I did. I don’t tell you this to brag, I tell you because I learned how to do this, and you can learn too. There’s plenty of room for all us to profit big time from the new crowdfunding economy. I mean, if a broke college kid can do this with their first crowdfunding project in 2013, so can you, right?

Since my first success back then I’ve been completely obsessed with mastering crowdfunding. I quickly realized that for everything I lacked, money, experience, connections, etc etc I could easily make up for with the most important skill of our generation: the ability to crowdfund. The crowdfunding skills I’ve mastered allow me to manifest huge amounts of money. That is the key to becoming a successful entrepreneur in our new digital age.
